Thursday Club Duo Entertainment…

The Christmas revels started for the Thursday Club at their last meeting of the year in the Reading Room. For this pre-Christmas party ( the actual party being on Dec 18th at the Boars Head in Long Preston)  Diana Kaneps had “decked the hall & tables in true Xmas style & had arranged for everyone to receive a small gift. After lunch music was brought to us courtesy of Shaun & Steve of the Folk Duo “So Far So Good” who came from over the border in Lancashire.

They played & sang a delightful selection of songs including a local favourite-in Lancashire-“Old Pendle” beautifully played & sung. Their rendition of “Sixteen Tons” was a great blast from the past & a medley of Christmas songs finished off the hour of musical enjoyment. As far as we were concerned it was ” So Far So Very Good”
