From the A65 – turn off following the sign for Rathmell, Wigglesworth, Horses’ Health Farm and Gardenmakers. Go under the railway bridge, and continue for 1½ miles.
The road climbs a small hill into the village of Rathmell.
After 50m, just after the Reading Room (village hall), turn right onto Hesley Lane, following signs for Tosside (via Long Gill) and the Primary School.
Hesley Lane twists, then straightens out and begins to climb. Rathmell Old School is approximately 100m up the slight hill on the right hand side of the road.
