Rathmell Church Fund-raising Meeting

There will be a meeting in the Reading Room on Thursday 19th February at 7.30pm to discuss future fund-raising events to help finance the major refurbishment programme, which Holy Trinity Church now requires.

Everyone is most welcome to come along and bring their ideas and suggestions as to how the community can best support this vital project, which will include re-roofing the entire building, renovating some of the stained-glass windows and upgrading the heating system.

A grant has been received for this from the heritage lottery fund, ‘Grants for Places of Worship’. In addition to funds for essential repairs, the Heritage Lottery Fund grant will support a programme of activities to engage more fully the community and visitors in the Church’s Heritage. However, a substantial sum will still be required and will need to be raised by the local community.
