Christmas tree festival at Holy Trinity

Gooselands aperture-master Phil Simnett kindly sent us a few photos of the beautiful Christmas tree festival at Rathmell Church.

I promised Phil I’d also let you all know that “if anyone in the village wants something specific photographing I would be happy to give it a go. I only photograph for pleasure not for money.” I don’t know what the going rate is in Pleasure, but you can sort that out with Phil on a case-by-case basis.
He modestly also said “I have no qualifications in the subject!” but I doubt you’d be asking to see his PhD certificate anyway, would you? He went on to suggest a few possible subjects that he is more comfortable photographing, and these included landscapes, gardens, dogs and frogs… but he specified that he doesn’t have the lighting gear to cast a golden glow over the human face or form.
