Rathmell Old School

Rathmell Old School is a community venue, situated on Hesley Lane in the centre of the village of Rathmell, near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales.

For those who don’t know Rathmell and the school, we’re surrounded by beautiful countryside, right on the path of the Ribble Way, but we’re also conveniently close to the A65, 30 minutes from Skipton / 45 minutes from Kendal / an hour from Leeds, Bradford, and Lancaster.

The school building has several spaces available for hire at very reasonable rates and for all manner of events, from children’s birthday parties to exercise classes, from choir practices and music lessons to professional training sessions, meetings and small business events.

Some rooms are already hired by local companies as office/workshop space.

July 2019: A small office room is available for short- or long-term hire, and may be of interest to neighbours who’d like to use B4RN’s fast internet, but who are waiting for their own connection to be dug and made live.

The main hall can seat approximately 50 people in a variety of configurations.

Rathmell Old School also has a modern, professionally-equipped kitchen (with dry store) that can be rented separately or together with other spaces.

The school has a large paved area outside (the former playground), off-road parking for about ten cars, and roadside parking for another ten cars. The village car park is a short walk away

We welcome one-off bookings, repeat events and longer-term exclusive hire. Contact Jacky Frankland at rathmellschool@gmail.com

Rathmell Old School belongs to the village community, and is run by volunteers as a not-for-profit charitable trust.
